Urgent: Help Staff Our Own Table

URGENT: As you know I've been insanely busy recruiting all the cool organizations and arranging many cool activities at the Democracy Fair this Saturday. What I completely forgot about (d'oh) is our own It's Blue Turn table. Anyone would like to help out and pitch our group to others? Right now, it's only Shalini, and it's a hard job for just one person. I would really appreciate it if after all the hard work, we had an opportunity to recruit folks at the fair to our group that organized it :) Please let me know ASAP.

Volunteers Still Needed for Fair Activities

We also still need people to help run various activities: for example, selling yard signs, running a protest sign competition, and helping people sign a giant Declaration for Democracy. It's easy, you'll get detailed instructions. Look at all the great things here that we'd like to offer (search for the 'Brought by Democracy Fair Team' ones). Volunteer ASAP here!!

Prop 50 Yard Signs — Final Push

• Still have a few yard signs for Prop 50 left, only a few more weeks to go until they become useless. I bought out of my own pocket, they're $9 each at cost. Help me distribute them! (That's actually one of the things you can also do at the fair: sell them at our table.)

Department of Education Layoffs

Over the weekend, Department of Education wiped out key special-education and rehab offices, on top of earlier cuts that already hollowed the agency. Less oversight means weaker IDEA enforcement and fewer protections for kids with disabilities and their families. Tell Congress to reverse this: contact your representatives now.
