New Prop.50 Yard Signs In Transit
New Prop.50 yard signs are here! (Well, almost — they’re currently in Newark and should arrive by end of day.) These have a different look than other signs out there — more noticeable and conversation-sparking. Let me know how many you'd like (I have 100 to distribute, $9 each).

Volunteers Needed: Lead a Station!
And what else does it take? :) Ok, you heard me say this before: we need volunteers, especially to lead and assist with all the great activities we hope to offer at the fair. Please read through this list and let me know if any sound like something you want to be a part of. And get your friends to help!!
Note: every station will come with a simple checklist, supplies, and backup volunteers. No experience needed: if you can greet a person and follow a checklist, you can do it.
- Hand out “passports” that people will use to keep track of actions they completed and celebrate people earning small prizes based on how many stations they visited.
- Guide visitors through the posters with wins from past movements, then collect their own ideas on Post-its.
- Seat postcarding writers, keep scripts and supplies flowing, and collect ready-to-mail cards.
- In an Andor-themed activity, help people map the groups they’re part of and make a simple pledge to spread action.
- Help visitors write quick letters thanking or urging public figures to hold the line.
- Help people take selfies at a photo-frame “newspaper” where people write the headline that must be heard, then point to ways to support independent media.
- Invite folks to sign the giant Constitution banner.
- Help people create their buttons at a button-making station.
- Welcome donations to local food banks and explain how mutual aid strengthens community.
- Help visitors submit a one-line hope via QR that appears on a live mosaic.
- Help people make bold banners for the visibility brigade to serve on overpasses and bridges.
- Assist the protest sign competition: intake signs, pin to display, tell people how to vote.
- Assist an artist at a calm table for expressive art about the moment.
- Teach simple embroidery stitches for democracy.
- Assist activities at the Kids’ Area.
- Help folks switch to safer platforms (mail, browser, Signal, etc) and do a 5-minute digital safety check.
- Run the giant Jenga game where each block is a freedom and let people “see” what happens when rights are pulled.
- Invite people to hang a leaf on the Democracy Pledge Tree with a concrete pledge to action.
- Be the friendly greeter for maps, lost-and-found, and volunteer check-in.
- Keep folks hydrated and happy by selling water.
- Take photos to capture actions or post short clips on social media with our event hashtag.

Greetings. You have three pro-trans bills on your desk right now waiting for you to sign: SB 418, SB 497, and SB 59. One allows hormone scripts for a year's supply. The second bill protects medical records from subpoena and doxxing. The third bill would seal trans people's legal name and gender changes, preventing the release of deadnames and other transition details to the public. Please sign these critical pieces of legislation. Thank you.
