Urgent Ask: Rapid Response Training

Urgent ask: If enough people express interest in the Rapid Response training, we can arrange an in-person one for our group. I need commitments from at least 15 people to get started on this. Coming to the training doesn’t commit you to any other steps but will give you a good understanding of what the Rapid Response Network does and what kind of things to watch out for. Please let me know ASAP.

Veterans’ Day Actions – Tuesday, Nov. 11

For this Veterans’ Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11 we’re joining with other organizations to spread anti-authoritarian, pro-democracy messages:

• Join our friend Steph T. in Palo Alto as part of the visibility brigade on Adobe Creek Bike and Pedestrian Bridge at 10 am. (If you do, please let me know!)

Election Results

We did well! Kudos to all of us and our hard work! This is the tally from the Election Night Watch; the bolded squares are the ones we directly supported this election cycle (the alums we supported in previous cycles). Just FYI, we’ve written 75K+ letters and postcards to voters in this election cycle.

Special Election

Let’s try to win another House seat RIGHT NOW! Long shot, but look what we’ve already achieved! Currently on the porch: writing to get out the vote for a special election for the 7th Congressional District in Tennessee. Aftyn Behn is a community organizer, running for a seat held by a Republican who resigned. Long shot in +18 Trump District, but Dems have been over-performing, sometimes by double-digits. Special elections are won by just a few votes. Due Nov. 22. (Also on the porch: campaigns to register voters in key districts in MI & AZ, flexible deadline.)
